FOOD TOUR - CAMPO DE' FIORI MARKET EXCURSION

Our morning food tour will lead you off the beaten path, to experience the real taste of Roman cuisine. You would savor the authentic flavors of the city, explore the typical food venues and the beautiful lively market of Campo de' Fiori, one of the oldest markets, if not the oldest. In 1869  it was the preferred destination of a group of ‘farming ladies’ coming every day from the countryside to sell their herbs and vegetables, often just sitting and cleaning them in the square. Now the market is a mix of two different ‘souls’ of Rome: the one of the ‘natives’ who still go to Campo de’ Fiori for food shopping, and for memories of the past, and the one of the tourists, who come to find the myth, the image of Rome as depicted in books and films.
