ORVIETO AND ASSISI IN A DAY

Your journey continues to Assisi, the birthplace of St. Francis.  Here you will find many sites relating to the life of the Saint, such as the Porziuncola Chapel where he was born and the order was founded and the “Eremo delle Carceri” a peaceful monastery in the nearby hills, where he famously preached to the birds.  Take time to see the spectacular Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi and  to stroll the cities' charming narrow streets.
